Presidents' Message
from Ian Seamans and Janet Imhoff

Happy New Year! As we reflect on 2024, we are filled with gratitude and pride for the remarkable work accomplished by Leagues across the country and right here in Collin County. Together, we’ve made a significant impact on democracy by registering voters, educating communities, and driving voter turnout in multiple elections, including November’s national election.

Our local League also tackled critical issues with engaging Programs on Payday and Auto Title Lending ReformHomelessness and Affordable Housing in Collin County, and Spotting Misinformation and Disinformation. Additionally, we revitalized our Observer Corps, launched the new Sips and Civics educational talk series, and supported the League of Women Voters' national One Person One Vote campaign—a bold initiative to abolish the Electoral College.

Thank you to all of our members and supporters for your contributions to these achievements. As we move into 2025, we will continue to build on this momentum by providing vital voting information, fostering civic engagement, and celebrating 50 years of service in Collin County.

In League,
Ian and Janet
