Early Voting Tuesday, May 27 - Tuesday, June 3
 
Local elections in Collin County aren't over yet! Runoffs will be held in June for several races in which no candidate received more than 50% of the votes cast. Based on unofficial results, the runoff races will include McKinney Mayor and city council members in Anna, Frisco, and McKinney. You can vote in the runoffs even if you didn't vote in the May 3 election.
 
Local elections have a big impact on our community and daily lives on issues such as transportation, infrastructure, housing, education, safety, and finances. Use the folllowing checklist to make sure you are prepared, then VOTE!
 

Socializing & Civics
 
LWV-CC will host a free public forum on Saturday, June 28, 2:30 to 4:30, at Davis Library in Plano. All are welcome to attend.
 
There will be a guest speaker that will explore LGBTQ issues.

Book Club Updated
Book Club
 
All are invited to the League of Women Voters of Collin County Book Club on Wednesday, May 14, from 7:00-8:00. We will meet on Zoom to discuss First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston.

Annual Meeting
 
All are welcome to attend our annual meeting on Saturday, May 17, at Harrington Library in Plano. There will be a short reception at 10:30, followed by the meeting at 11:00.
 
The Annual Meeting is our business meeting, but it’s about more than that: it's an occasion to reflect, celebrate, and chart our course for the year ahead. Join us to:
  • Hear the President's annual report
  • Review and adopt the 2025 - 2026 proposed budget
  • Recognize our outgoing board members and welcome new leadership
  • Get inspired for what's next!
